Composum is a set of useful tools and a framework to make it easy to use the Apache Sling framework as a general application development platform. There are some modules published as Open Source and more modules in development to prepare the publishing.

There are four modules available:

Composum Pages

the content management package of the Composum Platform with the 'Pages Stage' editing user interface to manage your content

Composum Pages is a full featured Content Management System system. You can set up your own CMS based on 'Pages' and customised according to your requirements.

Composum Assets

an asset management tool to configure and prepare responsive images for the content management

Composum Platform

the Package to set up a software platform with the access manager and the release delivery service (the staging aproach of the Composum Platform)

Composum Nodes

the core API on the JCR level with the Composum Console Browser as the central 'Swiss Knife' to manipulate the repository resources and with the Package Manager to handle content and code; this is also the 'core' application layer for all the other Composum modules.

Extensions

The professional subscription provides some more modules to set up your own enterprise platform. All these modules are available on the Composum Cloud.

Tenants

The multi tenancy module contains a setup and management console to manage a lot of tenants on the same system. All tenants are separated by access rights. Each tenant can mange its users an each user can be member of various tenants in various roles.

Workflow

The workflow extension provides a very flexible solution to declare tasks and combine them to workflows. Manual steps are listed in a personalized View integrated in the tenants console and in the Composum Pages editing user interface.
